Sewing, made impossible to mess up.
Never sewn a thing? Perfect — that’s exactly who these kits are for. We do all the hard, precise parts in advance, so the only thing left for you is the satisfying bit: pulling thread through and watching a bag come together in your hands. No machine. No experience. No way to get it wrong.
Every stitch hole is already punched.
Here’s the one thing that makes Snippets different. On a normal sewing project, the hardest part isn’t the sewing — it’s deciding where each stitch goes and keeping them straight and evenly spaced. That’s the part that goes wonky. That’s the part that makes people give up.
So we take it off your plate entirely. Before a kit ever ships, every single hole is pre-punched into the panels — measured, evenly spaced, exactly where it belongs. Sewing becomes connect-the-dots: up through one hole, down through the next, and repeat. There’s no measuring, no marking, no guessing.
A stitch hole is just the little opening the needle passes through. Because ours are placed for you, your stitches land evenly whether it’s your first project or your fiftieth. You physically can’t stitch crooked — the holes won’t let you.
What that means for you
- No measuring or marking — the hard, fiddly part is already done.
- Evenly spaced stitches every time, with zero practice.
- Nothing sharp to set up — the needle simply follows the dots.
- A finished seam that looks deliberate, because it is.
Small and doable is the whole point.
Most people who want to make things never start, because the first project they picture is enormous — a quilt, a coat, something with a hundred ways to go wrong. So they wait for a someday that never comes.
We went the other direction. A Snippets kit is designed to be finished in a single cozy sitting, so you get all the way to done — and done is what builds confidence. One small, finished thing in your hands teaches you more than a year of meaning-to.
You actually finish
A kit is sized to be completed in a couple of hours, not abandoned in a drawer. Finishing is the feeling we’re selling.
Few decisions to make
Panels are cut, the strap is made, the holes are placed. With the choices removed, there’s very little that can go sideways.
A real next step
Once you’ve made one, the next kit feels obvious instead of intimidating. Small steps stack into a real skill.
Three pieces. A couple of cozy hours.
Open the box, connect the dots, carry it everywhere. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish.
- PIECE 01
Open the box
Pre-cut panels, a ready-made strap, waxed thread, a needle you can actually thread, and a guide that assumes you know nothing. It’s all in there.
- PIECE 02
Connect the dots
The holes are already punched, evenly, exactly where they go. Up through one, down through the next. You physically can’t stitch crooked.
- PIECE 03
Carry it everywhere
A couple of cozy hours later you’ve got a bag you’ll actually use — and a great answer to “where’d you get that?”
Materials chosen to be forgiving.
Every material in a Snippets kit earns its place by being kind to a beginner. The big rule: it can’t fray. Fraying is when the cut edge of a woven fabric unravels into loose threads — frustrating, messy, and the fastest way to feel like you’ve ruined something. The materials below either don’t fray at all or are finished so they won’t, and every one takes a clean pre-punched hole.
Wool & acrylic felt
The most foolproof material we make
Felt is matted, not woven — so there are no threads to unravel and absolutely no fraying. The needle glides through it like butter, and the punched holes stay put. If you’ve never held a needle, this is where you begin.
Cork fabric & vegan leather
Premium feel, still beginner-easy
These give a kit that grown-up, boutique-shelf look — the kind that makes people ask where you bought it. Because they’re solid sheet materials rather than woven cloth, they never fray and they take a clean punched hole, so they’re every bit as forgiving as felt while looking far fancier.
Cotton canvas
For when you’ve got a kit or two under your belt
Canvas is a classic, sturdy bag material — but it’s woven, which means cut edges can fray. We save it for a later “graduation” kit, where the edges are finished for you and you already know the rhythm of the stitch. A goal to work toward, not a first try.
Wonky is impossible.
The holes are pre-punched at even spacing, so the hard part is already done. Every stitch lands exactly where it should — you just go up through one and down through the next.
The seams sit on the outside, on purpose. It’s a deliberate feature, not a mistake: there’s nothing to hide and nothing to get wrong.
And the strap is reinforced where bags actually fail — the one spot worth the extra stitches, done for you.
Sew by eye and it wanders.
The holes do the straight line for you.
Sew by eye and a seam wanders. With pre-punched holes, the same seam lands perfectly even.
A how-to video for every step.
The printed guide that comes in the box assumes you know nothing and walks you through the whole thing. When kits ship, we’ll pair it with a calm, full how-to video you can follow along with, pausing whenever you like — so you’re never stuck wondering what comes next.
We’re filming the full walkthrough now. Join the waitlist and we’ll let you know the moment it’s up.
You’ve got this.
