The holes are already punched, evenly, exactly where they go. Up through one, down through the next. You physically can’t stitch crooked.

A couple of cozy hours later you’ve got a bag you’ll actually use — and a great answer to “where’d you get that?”

Wonky is impossible.
The holes are pre-punched at even spacing, so the hard part is already done. Every stitch lands exactly where it should — you just go up through one and down through the next.
The seams sit on the outside, on purpose. It’s a deliberate feature, not a mistake: there’s nothing to hide and nothing to get wrong.
And the strap is reinforced where bags actually fail — the one spot worth the extra stitches, done for you.
